A complete late Neolithic flint polished axe head dating to the period (2900-2100BC). The axe is knapped from a light grey coloured flint; with substantial light brown inclusions toward the butt.
The axe head is broadly triangular and tapers evenly in width along its length from the widest point at the blade to a rounded butt. In plan the sides of the axe taper evenly in a convex curve to both ends from the thickest point which is 25% of the way along from the cutting edge to the butt. A post medieval copper alloy penny token issued by Messrs. Cox of Taunton and dating to AD 1812 (Minnitt unpub:18 nos. 1 & 2).
The obverse shows a view of an iron foundry. In the background are the furnaces with a gantry projecting between them. In the foreground is a man carrying a bar for tapping the furnaces and at his feet are four bars of pig iron. The legend reads TAUNTON PENNY TOKEN. A flint end scraper of probable Neolithic date (c. 4000 - 2350 BC). The piece is struck off a tertiary flake / blade as there is no cortex remaining. The genral form is a broad, short, thick blade. The dorsal surface exhibits two negative flake scars from previous removals. There are breaks at the proximal end which appear to have removed the bulb of percussion although part of a strikeing platform remains. A post medieval clay tobacco pipe dating to the period c AD1680 to 1720. Most of the bowl is missing but the heel is stamped with the makers mark: WILL/ PITCH/ER in three lines within a pellet circle. The stem is broken at an old break. The pipe measures 51.3mm in length, 14.7 in width and weighs 6.37g.
William Pitcher is listed as a maker from Beaminster in Dorset active c.1700 (Oswald 1975 p167).

A medieval copper alloy key for a small lock, probably on a casket dating to the period c. AD 1100 - 1500. The key has an oval bow formed of a loop which thickens on both sides towards the shank. The shank has a broadly oval cross section with flattened sides. There is a simple rectangular bit with a slightly expanded outer edge. The end of the shank has a small indentation.
The key is 33.47mm long, the shaft is 20.47mm long, the bow is 12.97mm in diameter, the bit 10.88mm long by 3.99mm wide and the key weighs 3.88g.

The handle of a copper alloy (latten) Post Medieval spoon dating to the period c.AD 1550-1650. The handle ends in a seal top knop. The knop starts with a flat circular disk which tapers down to two simple balls with a moulded collar beneath. The surface of the disc is worn and has no evidence of pecked initials remaining. The knop is integral with the oval cross sectioned handle. The handle is bent and terminates in a worn break at the point where it would have attached to the bowl, now missing. The knop is quite worn and has a green patina on the surface.

Part of a copper alloy (latten) post medieval seal top spoon dating to the period c.AD 1550-1650. The fragment comprises the spoon knop. The terminus is a flat circular disk which tapers down to a broad collar, semi-circular in cross section. There is no evidence of initials on the disc. Below the collar it narrows before expanding to a tapering baluster which narrows further to a collar formed of two narrow bands. The knop ends in a worn break at the point where it would have attached to the handle, now missing. The knop is quite worn and has a green patina on the surface.

A lead alloy Russian bale seal dating to AD1809. Both sides have raised Cyrillic lettering. On the obverse it reads ЛД/CYЛb/ЯHOB/HIO and on the reverse NP/[...]V12H/1809. A slot passes horizontally through the oval disc from side to side. It has a cream patina on both sides. It has a diameter of 22.33mm and weighs 10.3g.

Post medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c AD 1500 - 1650. The buckle consists of two oval loops separated by a pin/strap bar with lobed knops at each end of the bar. The pin is missing. The buckle has a green patina. The buckle measures 26.33mm in length, 21.35mm in width and weighs 2.43g.
A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003: 54) no. 305, who dates it to c.AD 1500 - 1650.
