The head and upper bow from a copper-alloy initial T-shaped brooch of early Roman date. The lower part of the bow and foot is missing to an old break. The head is formed of two cylindrical wings flanking a central slot. One wing is shorter than the other but still has a neat, worn, end suggesting it was mis-cast or broken in antiquity. The head is 17.4mm wide. The wings hold the axis bar for the hinged pin, one end of the copper alloy bar is visible embeded in white material, probably solder in the end of the shorter wing. A copper alloy T-shaped brooch of early Roman date. This Wilsford type brooch is incomplete in as much as it is missing its pin, and the lower part of bow to an old break. The head is made of a pair of cylindrical wings flanking a central slot. The wings hold the axis bar for the hinged pin. A white substance, probably solder is visible in one end of one wing. From each shorter end of the body protrude a slightly raised trefoil terminal and flared terminal respectively. Each terminal features a pair of crude grooves to delineate the designs. A probable button formed from a pair of fused medieval late Tournai copper-alloy jettons of Crown type, AE MARIA GRACIA PL legend, c. AD 1415-1497, cf. Mitchiner 663ff.
