Post Medieval copper alloy mount or stud or possibly button. The head is roughly circular with a smooth, slightly domed top. Around the edge there is a simple decorative incised line forming eight cresents, the areas between the scescents and the edge slope down. The edge is worn and rough in places. The back is concave and from the center projects the remains of a round rivet or stem with a slight casting line to one side. It is 17.0mm in diameter, 2.4mm thick excluding the spike, 4.2mm including it and weighs 2.80 grams. Read (2005:67) illustrates buttons with similar edge design…

Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The long frame is trapezoidal, with the outer side slightly longer than the strap bar, and it has a convex front and a flatter back. There are incised diagonal transverse lines across the three longer sides, all now worn to an almost smooth surface. The narrow, undecorated, end is slightly thinned to make a strap bar. It is 30.4mm long, 25.2 mm wide along the longer side, 23.0mm along the strap bar and 3.3mm thick, it weighs 4.23 grams. Medieval or post-medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame. The frame has two oval loops which are D-shaped in section with flat backs and slightly widened outer edges. The strap bar is narrowed. The pin is missing but there are traces of iron corrosion on the strap bar and one loop. The frame is 23.0mm long, 18.8mm wide and 2.5mm thick, it weighs 1.74 grams. A similar example is illustrated in Margeson (1993:30, no.164) from a 17th century context , although with an incised line for a pin rest in the centre of each loop, it is likely similar simple forms were in use …

Medieval incomplete and damaged lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla. It has a rounded base curving in to a neck where it is irregularly torn across. The tear is both across the width and down the length a third of the way across. It is now squashed flat with part of the sides of the neck folded inwards slightly, and a section at the back torn off. An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval double-looped buckle frame, missing most of one of its loops as well as its pin. The strao bar extends beyond the meeting point of the loops ending in rounded lobes. The reverse surface ia flat, and the upper surface is convex. At the centre of the remaining loop is a lobes expansion with the front moulded into crude flower. The broken off loop is a short stub along one edge (6mm), and broken at the moulding along the other. The breaks are old and the frame is bent slightly. Medieval cast copper alloy strap slide. The frame is five sided with a flat base, vertical sides and a peak in the centre of the top bar. The sides and base are rectangular in cross section and the top bar is D shaped with a flat inner side. There is a hole through the base of the frame, half way along, which would have held a separate circular rivet, now missing, the hole is filled with iron corrosion suggesting the rivet was iron.
