A corroded Post Medieval copper alloy coin weight of James I (1603-1625 AD) dating from around the second coinage of 1604-19. This weight is for an eighth of a Unite (Halfcrown). The weight has M BRIT IR as a legend to the bust side and a crown with IIS:IX.D below to the reverse.

A Medieval continental sterling imitation of a silver coin of Edward I, probably dating from 1313-1322 AD. It was struck for Gaucher of Chatillion, at the Mint of Yves. Obv. legend:+GALCh'SCOMESPORC; crowned ruler facing. Rev. legend:MON/ETA/OVA/Y.VE; long cross with three pellets in each quadrant. Mayhew Type 244. Cast copper alloy single loop buckle frame with integral cast plate. Dimensions 35.35mm x 16.08mm x 3.74mm and weight 5gms. The loop of the buckle is oval, 19.6mm long by 14.9mm wide and 2.1mm thick with a lipped pin rest. Traces of an iron pin remain in the circular pin hole, the sides of which project into the buckle loop. The fixing plate is 13.3mm long by 11.7mm wide and takes the form of a wide collar topped by a fleur d'lis. The remaining piece has a side bar 51.5mm long, with a rectangular cross section and a terminal in the form of a two-lobed fleur; projecting from beneath this fleur, and on the same plane, is the remnant of a sub-trapezoidal element, measuring 16.9mm long and with an uneven bottom edge which suggests the former existence of openwork decoration. A cast lead spindle whorl or possibly weight. It is disc shaped, with a flat base and top and slightly rounded sides. It has a circular hole running through the centre, with a ridge around the hole. It is 27.0mm in diameter, 7.3 thick with a hole 9.9mm and weighs 26.37 grams. Plain spindle whorls and weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards and are hard to date precisely although most are late Medieval - Post Medieval.

The boss is covered in a smooth bright green substance, possibly decayed enamel. A flint bladelet with a bulb of percussion visible at one shorter end and a hinge fracture at the other; it is rounded at this latter end. The flint is a light grey colour with some patches of iron staining. There are two removals down the length of the flake on the dorsal face while the ventral face is smooth, as struck. The edges are serrated, but no obvious human retouch can be discerned. The object has the following dimensions: Weight: 3.24g, Length: 40.33mm, Width: 18.86mm, Thickness: 3.51mm. It can be dated broadly from the Mesolithic to Neolithic.

Loop part of a two part cast copper alloy dress fastener of Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). The fastener is flat and piriform (drop shaped) in plan with an integral loop at the wider end; the loop is broken on the outer edge and the inner edge curves down on each side to meet at a centre point, flanking this point the border on the main plate curls inwards, continuing the curves. A cast copper-alloy single loop oval buckle frame with an ornate outer edge, dating from c. 1200-1400. The outer edge has two prominent, lobed knops flanking three transverse grooves moulded on the front, the back is plain and flat. It has a narrowed, offset strap bar and a dark green patina. The pin and plate are missing. It is 17.1mm long, 20.9mm wide, and 4.6mm thick. It weighs 2.75gm. Egan and Pritchard (1991) illustrate very similar buckles e.g. p.73, No 299. They suggest this type dates to 1200-1400 AD (p.76).

Medieval cast copper alloy 'beehive' shaped thimble with central hole. The thimble is almost hemispherical with slightly lengthened sides. The small circular pits are arranged in an irregular spiral from the base to the top leaving a small bare tonsure with a cenral circular hole. There is also a fine incised line around the base just above the rim.
