Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy circular unifaced token (1250-1850 AD). The token has been cast with a raised design of a equal arm cross on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. The token measures 15.8mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 1.80 grams. The edges are starting to laminate and crumble away suggesting it has a higher tin content than usual. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).

Cast lead circular uni-faced token. The obverse of the token has a raised design of a four regularly spaced straight lines running from edge to edge and crossing in the centre. The reverse is blank. It is 21.1 mm in diameter, 2.38 mm thick and weighs 4.5 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely and ones with simple designs like this could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).

A cast lead token of Medieval date. The circular token is of thin section but survives intact. On one side, executed in low relief, is the image of a hooded figure standing right, the right hand holding a pole with a mesh bag at the upper end. A swag extends diagonally across the body, while the top of his legs - the area below the knee is not visible - are covered with a vertically segmented garment. Medieval cast lead-alloy circular uni-faced token. The token has a raised design of square topped shield with a chequey pattern on one side. The reverse of the token has an raised five petalled flower. Above the shield is a piercing through the token, possibly secondary. It is 22.1mm in diameter, 3.1mm thick and weighs 6.14 grams. A Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy token of Powell type 3. The token is circular in plan and is undecorated on the reverse. The front is domed or convex and has a motif of radiating lines or sunburst pattern; approximately half of this has worn away. A lead token with similar radiating lines, which is dated from AD 1675 to 1700, is illustrated in Egan (2005: p170; number 932). However, as the Devon item did not come from a dateable archaeological context, it can only be given a broad date.
