Medieval cast lead-alloy circular uni-faced token. The token has a raised design of square topped shield with a chequey pattern on one side. The reverse of the token has an raised five petalled flower. Above the shield is a piercing through the token, possibly secondary. It is 22.1mm in diameter, 3.1mm thick and weighs 6.14 grams. A number of familys bore a chequey coat of arms including the locally prominent de Warrene family (in use 1066-1415).
