A copper alloy pommel from a sword or dagger in the shape of a human bust dating to the later Iron Age (150-1 BC). The bust is moulded in three dimensions, with the lower edge of the shoulder line demarcated by an incised groove which runs around both sides of the object. The bust ends here, at approximately the point of the clavicle. Iron staining on the sides of the shoulder appear to be from the end of the sword rather than expansions at the sides. A copper alloy pommel from a sword or dagger in the shape of a human bust dating to the later Iron Age (150-50 BC). The bust is moulded in three dimensions, beginning just below the shoulder line, with the point where the thick neck and shoulders meet emphasised with a cast thick line, possibly intended to represent the neckline of a garment. A Medieval copper alloy sword or dagger pommel dating to the second half of the fifteenth century. The pommel is circular in shape and bi-convex in form. The upper surface of the pommel is domed, with a central circular perforation which is worn to one side. It is decorated with a series of four deep V- shaped grooves radiating from the centre forming a saltire.
