A complete post-medieval copper-alloy scabbard chape, probably for a dagger. The chape is tongue shaped, ie with sides that are gradually converging from the top to the triangular base with a projecting angular knop at the lower point. It is C-shaped in section, hollow on the reverse (apart from the knop) with thin convex curved sides and slightly convex front.

A probably incomplete and very worn Early Early-Medieval (400-600) copper alloy sword scabbard chape, broken across one projecting loop and probably missing another. In profile it is U-shaped with a globular projection from the base. One arm ends in a damaged loop, the other (shorter) in a worn trefoil. Measures 35.55x8.42x12.79mm and weighs 6.25g.

A cast copper alloy scabbard chape with angled sides, slightly domed front and hollow back. The lower part of the chape has an oval outline with incised radiating lines on the front creating a scallop shell appearence and a rounded knop projecting down at the centre of the lower edge; the upper part is trapizoid, stepping in at the top of the scallop before widening slightly to the top. The top edge is castellated with two incided horizontal lines below. There is a central quatrefoil shaped apeture. The separately soldered back plate is missing.
