An end scraper. There is long, parallel, abrupt retouch around the proximal end on the ventral face, removing the striking platform. There may also have been very short, abrupt retouch on the distal end to produce an irregular outline, although this may also be due to natural fracture when the flake was sruck from the core. Unlike with thumbnail or round scrapers the retouch covers only a small part of the circumference. The scraper was made on a secondary flake, c.5% cortex remains, with a prominent bulb of percussion.
