A Medieval copper-alloy English jetton of the sterling/allied series dating to c. AD 1280 - 1350. Berry type 6B: obverse lion's head with tracery, reverse three armed cross within a trefoil. Mernick type 4f.3.6. On the obverse is a small central indentation. The jetton is bent, being concave on the reverse. Barnard points out that the geometrical tracery is similar to that seen in the window of the vestry at Merton College, Oxford, dated about 1310 (Berry:35). Very similar to PAS database DOR-5F49B7; see also CORN-98653E. This small cluster may, or may not, be significant.

A copper-alloy French (Tournai) stock jetton imitation of Royal type, dating to the Medieval date c. 1400-1500 AD. The obverse depicts a dolphin embowed, within a granulated inner circle similar to that illustrated in Barnard (1981, p120, also Plate VII, No. 61). Unlike more common types depicting a cross fleuretty within a double-stranded quatrefoil, the reverse depicts a cross feuilly within an embowed 'arcuate' cross in the centre. This particular example is rather crude and a close parallel for the reverse has not been found (However, cf. Mitchiner, p194). Both legends are near…

A worn and corroded 16th-century copper-alloy post-medieval anonymous Nuremberg jetton of the 'Rose / orb' type with fictitious legend. About 10% of the circumference has been cut straight and there is a small crack to one side of the cut. Similar examples with a wide range of fictitious legends can be found illustrated in Mitchiner (1988, 382-383) where they are dated to the first half of the 16th century.
