A corroded cast copper-alloy Roman strap mount often described as 'vulvate' as the central motif is thought to imitate a vulva. The mount is sub-rectangular in form with a central raised oval boss (14.6 by 10.1mm). The short ends are squared off while the longer ones curve outwards slightly. The boss features a central longitudinal incision along most of its length. The lower surface is slightly concave towards its centre, either side of which two integral, fungiform studs would have protruded; one is now broken and vestigial. All that remains is most of the headloop, the point where the headloop was attached to the wings and the start of the top of the bow, including the headstud. Just below the headloop are two incised lines in saltire; directly below is the raised circular headstud with recessed central circle; the beginnings of a second incised saltire are positioned directly below. A Roman copper alloy plate brooch. Lozenge-shaped central panel with a flat circular knop at three of the corners. The knop from the fourth corner is missing. The top knop is broken, but has been drilled to form a chain loop. The other two knops have a central indent. The central panel is recessed for enamel with five raised annulets arranged in a cross. Fragment of a cast copper alloy strip; it is rectangular in cross-section and bent into a U shape with old, straight, cuts at either end. The outer side is divided into three main zones by longitudinal grooves. The central zone is plain but corroded. The border zones are decorated with rows of rouletted lozenges beyond which are plain edges. The inner side is plain. It is 10.9mm wide and 2.3mm thick; it weighs 7.13 grams. A cast copper-alloy Roman harness pendant of a type generally dated to the 3rd century. It is flat with a broken transverse suspension loop at the top. Below the loop it has a kite-shaped upper body with a very elongated lower point.
