An incomplete Roman copper alloy bracelet dating to cAD 300 to 400. The bracelet is formed of a strip of copper alloy which has been bent into an irregular U-shape. One end is complete and narrows to catch and the other finishes in a straight, patinated break. The catch is formed of a hook; the hook is narrower than the main bracelet with a thin initial section then a thickened terminal which is round in plan and triangular in profile with the upper edge of the triangle slightly hooked over. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch. Only the foot and catchplate remain. The bow thins and narrows evenly to the pointed foot. Close to the break in the bow is a small circular indentation and the foot is slightly thickened although vary narrow, with two transverse notches. The catchplate is complete with a circular hole drilled through the centre. The piece measures 29.0mm, 5.75mm in width, 3.95mm in thickness and weighs 3.63g. An incomplete Roman copper alloy initial T-shaped brooch probably dating to cAD 50-150. Only the lower part of the bow and catchplate remain. The top section of the remaining bow has a pattern of four evenly spaced converging incised lines which run down the bow to the start of the foot where there end in a double transverse incised line. A fragment from a hinged roman brooch possibly a Colchester Derivative T-shaped brooch, possibly dating to c. AD 75-150. Only the right wing and a small portion of the bow survives. The right wing is 20.3mm wide and rounded but irregular in cross section with a maximum diameter of 6.0mm and a minimum diameter of 5.0mm. The front of this wing is decorated by three, possibly four, evenly spaced raised rectangular ridges one of which marks the far right edge of the wing. An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged Durotrigan Type 5C-D (strip bow) brooch dating to the period c. AD 43 - 70. The majority of the brooch's bow survives although its head is very fragmentary, and it is missing its foot, catchplate, and pin. The head of the brooch projects backwards from the bow in a sub-rectangular plate. A slot which was cut into the reverse of the head after folding can also be seen although the area to the left of this slot is completely lost while only a small fragment of plate to the right of this slot survives.The slot would have held the hinged pin. …

The brooch consists of the head of the brooch, its wings and a portion of the bow.The head has semi-circular sectioned wings, slightly concave at the back to accommodate the spring (not found with the artefact). A Roman copper alloy finger ring dating to the 2nd or 3rd century. The intaglio is missing from the raised oval box which is in the centre of an incised lozenge shape. Below this on each shoulder is a worn pattern, ending in an incised horizontal line. The bezel is larger than the box, oval with triangular projections on each corner where there is a distinct carination betwen the bezl and shoulders. The ring narrows from the shoulder into the hoop. An extremely small Roman copper alloy sprung knee brooch, probably dating to c. AD 150-250 with possible silver or niello inlay.
