Part of a probably Mesolithic flint blade, probably dating to the period c.9000-4000BC. It is a secondary piece with one small patch of pebble cortex surviving near its proximal end. The artefact is rectangular with a triangular cross section. The dorsal face has two negative blade scars from previous removal. One of the mesal edges have areas of chipping. There is a snap at the proximal end, thus removing the striking platform and bulb of percussion. The flint is a medium grey with areas of mottled white. An incomplete perforated cobble "mace head" or pebble hammer of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date. The mace head is a well rounded oblong in plan, sub-rectangular in profile and sub-oval in cross-section with three sides that have a rounded central ridge and rounded corners. It may have been a beach pebble that had a natural hole which was then exploited to create the mace. Two flint cores of probable Mesolithc to Neolithic date (c. 6000 - 3500 BC). 1. The core exhibits at least four striking platforms and exhibits at least 13 negative flake scars from previous blade and flake removal. The flint is a dark semi-translucent grey colour, with some cloudy repatination and iron staining. It measures 31.81mm in length, 38.86mm in width, is 24.91mm thick and weighs 42.46g. 2. A small tertiary waste flake: probable debitage of Mesolithic or later date. The flake is broadly semicircular in plan and a shallow U shape in profile. There is cortex along the struck end. The ventral face is curved and smooth with evident ridges down its length and a high bulb. The dorsal face is broadly flattened as a result of two main removals, with some minor removals at the sides probably the result of post-depositional damage. The piece is thin enough to be translucent with some impurities in the flint giving it a light-brown colour.

One incomplete and one complete microlith: Incomplete microlith, small blade with a deliberate notch made half way down the right edge on the ventral face. The notch would have divided the bulb (microburin) from the distal end. Dark grey flint with paler mottling, 0.81 grams. Piece from the centre of a larger blade, long parallel removals on the dorsal face. The edges which run across the blade are retouched with abrupt semi-parallel and scalar retouch along both edges. Fifteen small blades and fragments of flint blades. Some of the fragments appear to have been deliberately broken and represent proximal ends and central sections. Probable Microlith of later Mesolithic date. The piece has a sharp triangular point with an irregular, accidental, break at the wide end. The piece is made from the centre of a tertiary blade with the point towards the proximal end and a broken distal end. The dorsal face is highly arched with evidence for previous removals. There is short, scalar to sub-parallel abrupt to semi-abrupt retouch around the tip of the point and down both sides as far as the break. The flint is dark grey with paler mottling. It is 23.2mm long, 11.3mm wide and 3.6mm thick; it weighs 1.08.
