A copper alloy sheet metal harness mount hammered. The mount is oval with two integral suspension loops at one side which have circular holes in the centre. On the opposite side are breaks for a pair of opposing loops, now missing. A central hole has been pierced through the main plate. On the lower edge are two stubs for a missing hooked and split suspension loop.The front of the plate is decorated with cross hatched incised pairs of diagonal lines forming lozengiform sections (a fret). A cast copper alloy object of uncertain function, possibly relating to Medieval horse harness decoration. It is in the form of a long circular sectioned shaft, now bent at 90degrees with a broken terminal at one end and a cross at the other. The cross has a flat central area from which project the three arms, each ending in a globular terminal. The upper arm is longer than the two at the sides and has been bent to one side. The lower, fourth arm is formed from the shaft and is delineated by a rounded collar, similar to the knops. Date:Medieval to Post Medieval Dimensions: 102.21 mm

An incomplete handle from a candlestick ejector-key dating to 1800-1900. Such keys were used to eject the stem of a candlestick. The key has an openwork trefoil handle arranged in a triad, with a knop at the top outside edge and a transverse collar below. The shaft is oval in cross-section and is threaded below the collar. A fragment of copper alloy nut crackers dating to 1700-1800. Comprising the jaw and teeth only. The upper part of the handle which would have been attached to an identical arm via a hinge is missing. The mid part of the handle survives, it is cylindrical with four rows of hand-stamped circumferential grooves to grip the nut. The jaw is slightly expanded, curving concavo-convex and flattens to a trapezoidal section. The everted blunt point of the original terminal of the jaw is missing. A fragment from a cast copper-alloy early medieval Anglo-Scandinavian bridle cheekpiece. The object consists of a central trapezoidal boss with a single remaining 'D' sectioned arm which terminates in a sub-rectangular loop. This loop has bevelled edges decorated with closely spaced transverse grooves. There are broken surfaces on possibly three sides of the central boss and a stump of another projection at a 45 degree angle in relation to the surviving arm. Circa 11th century.

An incomplete iron horseshoe dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The horseshoe is heavily corroded but at least two rectangular nails are still apparent in situ on the face of the object. The shoe has an even-sized web measuring 29.98mm across at its widest point, and tapers down to 21.71mm at the heels. Calkins are apparent on both heels, though the right hand calkin has been worn away somewhat. The horseshoe can be classified as Clark Type 4. For a comparable example see Clark (2004: 87) no. 230. Copper alloy sword belt hanger dating from the post medieval period, that is c. AD1500-1700. The hanger is complete and in good condition. It is a moulded strip terminating in a hook. The main body is roughly figure-of-eight-shaped with a rivet hole in the centre of each roundel. Each roudel is decorated around the rivet hole with a moulded square and basic interlace mouldings, wound around the straight sides of the two squares. Reference: Read 2008, 224, no. 804.

The copper alloy object is sub-circular, asymmetrical with an integral elongated lug protruding from the centre of the upper edge. Copper alloy, cast, tri - lobed conical book mount of Howsam type B.1.2, medieval in date. Each lobe has a central triangular projection with an outwardly curving projection to either side. There is a perforation for a rivet in the centre of the lobe. The central boss has a circular raised base. The 3 lobes form a triangular feature each side measuring 24 mm. A complete cast copper-alloy early Medieval zoomorphic scabbard chape, dating to c. 5th-/6th-century date. The chape is of Menghin (1983) Class 3b Type Wageningen (page 361), (pers.comm K .Leahy 2019). The chape has a sub-rectangular central plate with sub-oval protrusions on either side.
