An incomplete copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the medieval period (c.AD 1300-1400). The frame was originally D-shaped with a curved and widened outer edge. The frame is incomplete and breaks at the pin rest and where the frame narrows. The face is flat and is decorated with various incised lines. The main outer edge presents a series of vertical lines, whereas where the frame narrows, the design is crossed curved lines. The reverse is slightly faceted at the sides and is undecorated. Copper alloy harness fitting, as kindly identified by Rob Webley, who comments: 'I tend to think of these as medieval harness junctions (c. 12th-13th c.) - I thought belt stiffeners were riveted in place' with regard to an initial identification. Cast openwork version of a propeller-shaped belt stiffener, comprising two narrow and elongated triangles meeting at a pair of hemispherical moulded balls with a collar between them. For my short note on the type: A Neglected Type of Urnes-Style Buckle (Webley 2018), Medieval Archaeology 62:2, 392-397'. A distorted and incomplete copper-alloy single loop buckle frame having lost its pin bar as a result of old damage. The frame is D-shaped, and broadly oval in cross-section with rounded corners. A complete Medieval copper alloy and enamel horse harness banner pendant, dating to c AD 1275-1350. A harness pendant of 13th - 14th century date. It is shield shaped with an integral perforated suspension lug projecting from its apex. The arms blazoned on the front appear as follows: quarterly Gules, on a bend sinister three eagles displayed argent.
