An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman disc brooch, dating to the second century. The circular brooch would have originally had eight plain, peripheral lugs; one of which has been lost completely. The plate has a central circular hollow, which would likely have originally contained enamel, surrounding this is a thick raised ring. There is a narrower ring between this and the border, creating two concentric rings with an inner circle; within these rings are concentric bands of enamel.
