Possibly a plated copy of a Roman Republican denarius by the moneyer Brutus (M Iunius Brutus).
Mint of Rome, 54 BC
RRC (Crawford) 433/1
There are two small perforations - possible evidence for re-use as a pendant? The perforations were made just below the feet of the lictors and Brutus and might indicate that it was worn on a neclace in such a fashion that the wearer could see the reverse coin the right way around (looking down) but not the onlooker standing in front of the wearer.

Republican denarius struck by the moneyer L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus in Rome in 64 BC. The obverse has been countermarked with 3 symbols arranged in a triangle. These symbols are struck over the veiled head of Concordia. The symbols are arranged unevenly and seem likely to be an S above a D and cross or X. On the reverse there is also a possible countermark in the upper left hand quarter. This mark is deeply punched and seems to be an elongated irregular cross (X) or possibly a throne?

Probably a contemporary Roman bronze copy of a silver Republican denarius.
The size suggests a Roman Republican denarius as does what looks like a bust of Roma facing right on the obverse. The metal, however, suggests that it is a contemporary copy (possibly the core of a previously plated imitation). The rough and pitted surface and crude style of the horseman support this theory.
There are several denarii that sport similar designs - Crawford RRC 286/1 and 295/1 (116 or 115 and 113 or 112 BC respectively) - the latter even has a large Q behind the horseman that maybe p…
