Three base metal objects from a dispersed hoard of Late Bronze Age date (c. 1000 BC - c. 800 BC). The objects were located within the ploughsoil and were discovered a few metres apart from each other. Treasure case no. 2006 T290. Description 1. Incomplete socketed axehead. South-Eastern Class A. A ploughed Anglo-Saxon cemetery site. Treasure case no. 2006 T62. The finds comprise 14 objects from the same ploughed-out Anglo-Saxon cemetery as the large group reported previously as Treasure case 2004 T187, which have been acquired by The British Museum. The reference numbers given below are those used on the site plan prefixed with 2006. For the purposes of this report the precious and non-precious metal finds have been recorded separately.
