Fragment of a copper alloy circular gilded mount with interlace work of Early Early-Medieval date (AD 600 - AD 700). The mount would have been about 68mm in diameter, when complete. It is about 2.5mm thick and weighs 10.41g.
Two small portions of the central part survive and these are decorated with three-stranded Style II animal interlace (part of a foot or paw appears to be present).
