An Early-Medieval Visigothic 'pseudo-imperial' gold tremissis, dating to the 6th century (pre-580). The type was probably of a type introduced by Theodoric I in 509, based on contemporary Byzantine issues. The coin is closely paralleled by examples illustrated in Grierson and Blackburn (1986, plates 10-11, especially no. 202). Grieson and Blackburn (1986, 48) state: '[The] profile bust of the obverse has a highly devolved cross on the chest, this being one of the most distinctive features separating Visigothic pseudo-tremisses from those of the Burgundians and the Franks. …

Complete gold suspension loop, possibly from a bracteate of Early Early-Medieval date (AD 400 - AD 600). Treasure case no. BM2005 T408. Width 5 mm, maximum diameter 5 mm. Weight 0.66 g. The pendant is made from a thin rectangular strip of sheet gold which has four lightly moulded longitudinal ribs. The square-cut ends overlap from slight crushing. The loop may be from a bracteate rather than any other sort of pendant as the double ribs either side of a broad central furrow are a feature of several bracteates, but do not seem to occur on other Anglo-Saxon pendants of later date. Fragment of a gold bracelet of Late Bronze Age date (c. 1150 BC - c. 750 BC). Length 20mm, width 22mm and c. 0.5mm thick. Weight 3.53g. The fragment is a terminal of sheet gold which has been roughly flattened out. The terminal is oval in plan and adjoins a short remaining stretch of a broad band. At this end there is an old break. Undulations in the metal suggest that the band met the terminal in a strong curve; the original form can be reconstructed as a C-section band with an everted oval terminal.
