Incomplete vessel of Saintonge White ware three handled pitcher or pegau with rouletted applied strips, a bib glaze and a cut parrot-beak spout. Late thirteenth or early fourteenth century. Length 32mm, maximum diameter of body 30mm, diameter of base 17mm and thick.

A gilded cast copper alloy object. Possibly part of a vessel of Medieval, fourteenth to fifteenth century date (AD 1300 - AD 1500). Length 18.9mm, width 17.3mm and 11.8mm thick. Weight 9.84g.
This fractured and crumpled fragment is possibly part of the spout of a vessel. It has moulded decoration which appears to represent part of the head of an animal. A sub-circular annulet forms an eye (possibly) and small linear grooves emulate hair or fur (possibly).
The object is in poor condition and the breaks are all old.

A fragment of a ceramic vessel of probable Iron Age date (800 BC - AD 43). Length: 19.0mm; width: 28.0mm and 11.0mm thick. Weight: 5.87g.
This undecorated fragment is part of the rim and is sparsely tempered with relatively large pieces of whitish angular flint. The coarse surface is a brown (Munsell Color 7.5YR 5/4). There is insufficient rim to enable the diameter of the vessel to be estimated.
The fragment is in a stable condition and has fresh breaks.

A Roman ceramic rim fragment from a Vectis Ware vessel of unclassified form, c. AD 43-c. 375. Tomalin 1987: 30-40.
The rim sherd of this vessel is dark grey and orange. It has a greyish orange core.
The breaks appear to be fresh.
When complete, the outer diameter of the rim would have been about 22cm.

Vectis ware is hand-made, well finished and relatively hard, being barely scratched with the fingernail. Its internal and external surface is partly reddish-yellow (Munsell Color 5YR 6/6), which is the colour yielded by a characteristic oxidised crust which is usually weakly visible due to a more general darkening of the final surface burnishing. A rim sherd of a Medieval coarse-ware vessel (c. 1200-c. 1400).
This flared bevelled rim has an angular rim and the surface is concave just below the rim on the interior face. It has a grey/off-white core and the surface is orange. It is tempered with rounded quartz, angular flint and some shell. The breaks are old.
