A copper alloy Post Medieval coin weight which is sub-square in plan and has designs on both faces. On the obverse the design is, within a circular border of pellets, a shield charges with a 6 pointed star with curved tips; above the shield a crown with the figures "71" over the top middle of the crown. The reverse has a hand within a wreath with the letters S O // R I and a V below the hand. The surface has a shiny brown patina. It measures 15.64mm long, 15.71mm wide, 1.62mm thick and weighing 2.4g.
The coin weight is one of Antwerp for the French ecu au soleil …
