An incomplete cast copper alloy T-shaped brooch of Roman date (AD 43-250). The brooch consists of a small narrow head flanked by two small rectangular wings with an integrally cast three stepped decoration. Approximately half of the body of the brooch is retained and terminates in an old break. The spring, pin, catchplate, foot and approximately half of the body of the brooch are all missing due to an old break. The metal is a light green to mid brown in colour. Hattatt, P 304, No 923.

A fragment of a copper-alloy cruciform brooch in the Anglo-saxon tradition dating to the early Medieval (AD 410-720). The fragment consists of the lower bow section with zoomorphic decoration in the form of bulbous eye protrusions and spatulate extensions on either side of the bow. The fragment terminates at both ends in old breaks after the lower section of the bow and before the footplate. A corpus of Anglo-Saxon material from Suffolk, pg 309, no 2. The metal is a dark green in colour. The weight was no recorded during the initial recording of the object.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch of early Roman date (AD 25-60). The Brooch is a one piece Colchester type and consists of a convex undecorated bow with small rectangular wings on the head, on the reverse of which a portion of the lug is retained, through which the spring cord would have been secured. The spring, pin, foot and catchplate are all missing due to old breaks. The metal is a dark green in colour. Hattatt, Pg 296, Fig 155, No 250.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date (AD 100-200). The brooch consists of a partial splayed sub-rectangular head with rounded wings and part of the convex bow. There is also some indication that a partial loop remains in situ on the reverse of the head and a small portion of the catch plate remains on the reverse of the lower section of the bow. Some of the head, bow, suspension loop, catch plate and spring are missing along with the entire foot and pin, all due to old breaks. The metal is a dark greenish brown in colour.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy headstud brooch of Roman date (AD 75-200). The brooch consists of a suspension loop, flat rectangular wings, convex bow and a small rectangular foot. Fragment of Roman bow brooch, with all original edges missing and an incomplete openwork catchplate on the reverse. probably Roman in date. It measures 28.3x(max)15.96x0.81mm and the catchplate extends to the reverse c.7mm. It weighs 2.02g. The bow has a central groove running its length. Inside this groove are tiny zig-zag punches. On the reverse are the two ends of the catchplate where they join the bow. Not enough of the bow survives to be able to identify the brooch type, but it is likely to be 1st/ mid-2nd century on the basis of the openwork catchplate.

A Medieval gold annular and inscribed brooch dating from AD 1250 - 1350. The frame is circular and is decorated at the top with a pair of clasped hands. These are moulded, but they curve in the same orientation as the frame of the brooch. At the right hand and bottom cardinal points are flower motifs; one four petalled flower at each point. An incomplete silver 'knotenfibula' dating to the late Iron Age. The pin and spring of the brooch are missing and the catch plate is also broken and missing. The bow has a diamond shaped cross section. At its highest point, close to the end of the brooch where the spring was originally, there is a circular boss between two ring mouldings. This boss is the defining feature for these types of brooches.
