A cast lead token of probable early post-Medieval date.
The token is sub-circular in plan. One one side is the relief-moulded image of a quadruped (possibly a horse or donkey) standing left, with a checkered pattern of infill and a crude flowerhead or sun design in the top right of the field. The reverse image is that of a gate with four horizontal bars, four vertical bars and one diagonal bar. Two finials project upwards at the top, while underneath are two letters: [..] G.
Dimensions: 22mm diameter, 2.1mm thick. Weight: 7.72g.
