An incomplete copper alloy unidentified object, possibly a window latch, of uncertain date. The artefact has a a central iron pin with two protrusions either side, one thickens slightly, the front face is convex with a slight raised ridge running along the centre, the reverse is concave. The opposite protrusion is broadly semi-circular in cross section and tapers to a point, which appears to have an old break. The reverse is flat and undecorated. An incomplete cast copper alloy and glass finger ring of probable 3rd century AD date. The fragment comprises a collet and about one third of the wide flat hoop. In its current state it measures 21.5mm in length, 9.8mm in width, 1.4mm in thickness and it weighs 2.1g. The circular raised integrally cast collet has a diameter of 7.3mm. It contains a light blue glass setting. On either side of the collet there is an incised transverse line. There are four raised circular dots inside the bezel. The shoulders are slightly wider and angled. The hoop has a circular cross section.

Fragment of Roman bow brooch, with all original edges missing and an incomplete openwork catchplate on the reverse. probably Roman in date. It measures 28.3x(max)15.96x0.81mm and the catchplate extends to the reverse c.7mm. It weighs 2.02g. The bow has a central groove running its length. Inside this groove are tiny zig-zag punches. On the reverse are the two ends of the catchplate where they join the bow. Not enough of the bow survives to be able to identify the brooch type, but it is likely to be 1st/ mid-2nd century on the basis of the openwork catchplate.

A probable corroded lid from a cast copper-alloy Roman seal box. The fragment comprises of the sub-oval lid and the vestigial remnants of the protrusions; one presumably the truncated hinge loop. One lug is bent down far more than the other and is narrower. The lid is flat and sub-oval, with abrasions to the edges. Within a border is a recessed field bearing eight pellets in low relief, arranged seven around one in the centre. This pattern can be found on a seal box lid recorded on this database - WMID4686.
