An incomplete fragment of a cast copper-alloy probable end cap (terminal) from a scale-tang knife of post-medieval date. The terminal is heavily abraded being broadly square in plan and sub-rectangular (D shaped) in cross section. On the reverse face a D shaped cast vertical groove is present which divides the cap evenly into two parts. It is likely that this groove or slot would have originally been much deeper and would have enabled the upper part of the tang to be accommodated. An incomplete cast copper-alloy knife pommel of Post-medieval to modern date (AD 1500-1800).The object is anthropomorphic and depicts a head possibly wearing a head dress. The tang missing due to an old break as is the base of the pommel where it would have affixed to a handle.

The metal is a greenish brown in colour.
