Copper alloy cast strap end from the late Anglo-Saxon period. It is almost triangular in plan and is not complete being broken at the top (widest) end. It is zoomorphic in design, probably a mouse, and dates to around the 9th century AD. The design is zoomorphic and a snout, eyes and ears can be seen. The snout is narrow at the bottom and widens up to the ears where it stops. The eyes are raised hollow circles, the ears are similar but sub-circular and larger. The ears may have been filled with something, possibly enamel for decoration.

Copper alloy military 'amphora' type strap-end or, more correctly, belt terminal of the late Roman period. Although not common in Britain (from stratified contexts), examples are known such as one from the Winchester Lankhills cemetery, for instance. They belong to the type of belt with 'propeller' stiffeners similar to a complete set from Zengovarkarhony. Early medieval lead strap-end. The strap end is rendered in the Winchester style. Although this decoration is fairly crude in execution and eccentric in detail, it depicts a fairly standard inhabited plant-scroll design featuring a pair of confronted lizard-like creatures with rounded heads (and possibly tails) at the top, each perched on the branches of a central plant which sprouts from an unusual calyx or bulb at the bottom.
