Description Treasure reference 2018 T529: a Roman silver box-bezel containing a carnelian intaglio. The bezel and stands 7mm tall. The gem is oval in form with a polished convex face (Henig Type A), engraved with the motif of a male figure stood frontally but facing left (impression described), holding an ear of wheat in his lowered left hand and offering out patera in his outstretched right. A complete cast copper-alloy gilt finger ring of late Medieval date (AD 1400-1500). The ring is constructed from a single sheet of copper-alloy, which has been looped and joined to make the hoop of the ring. The external face of the ring has a deeply incised repeating floral motif. This pattern consists of a series of short well executed curvilinear lines, which interlock and form a series of leaves and (possibly) flower buds. Treasure Item 2012 T107: Complete silver Roman finger ring, Henig Type XI, dating to the 2nd - 3rd century AD. The ring is roughly D-shaped with a broad flat bezel and sub-circular hoop. The bezel, which is sub-rectangular in shape, has bevelled shoulders carrying impressed semi-circular detailing outlined with an incised line. A complete cast copper-alloy Roman finger-ring, Henig type VIII (2nd/3rd century AD). It has a flat, rectangular 'bezel', slightly asymmetrical. The bezel and the shoulders are trapezoidal, the shoulders have a flat surface and start 7.7mm wide, narrowing to 6.65mm. The hoop is circular in shape and is quite thick. Sitting on top of the 'bezel' is a raised projection, rectangular with rounded corners; 8.1mm by 4.5mm. The ring is 20.65mm across and 1.7mm thick (4.1mm at the bezel). A cast copper-alloy Roman finger-ring with sub-oval hoop given the flattened bezel. The bezel is trapezoidal in cross-section given its bevelled edges on the upper surface. Within a central rectangular recess is enamel that has decayed to a dull red colour. On the bevelled sides are minute stamped letters which have been checked by a number of volunteers. They appear to read: CDTMA // VXTE, although only the 'M' on one side and the 'TE' on the other can be seen with clarity. There are four raised circular dots inside the bezel. The shoulders are slightly wider and angled. The hoop has a circular cross section.

An incomplete cast copper alloy and glass finger ring of probable 3rd century AD date. The fragment comprises a collet and about one third of the wide flat hoop. In its current state it measures 21.5mm in length, 9.8mm in width, 1.4mm in thickness and it weighs 2.1g. The circular raised integrally cast collet has a diameter of 7.3mm. It contains a light blue glass setting. On either side of the collet there is an incised transverse line. An incomplete cast copper alloy finger ring of probable Roman date (AD 100 - AD 410). Length 15.4mm, width 10.8mm. Weight 2.50g. The bezel is oval in plan and measures 12.8mm x 10.8mm. At each end of the bezel is a stub, all that remains of the hoop. Each stub tapers in width from the bezel towards an old abraded break.
