A complete cast copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date (AD 1300-1500). The buckle is a single loop rectangular type with four transverse grooves on its front edge and a narrowed strap bar. The plate is retained and has a bifurcated attachment to the buckle to facilitate a pin. The plate is smooth and undecorated. The metal is a light green to brown in colour. Whitehead, Pg 27, No 135.
