A complete cast lead weight of Roman to Medieval date (AD 43-1500). The weight is cuboid in shape and contains no discernable decoration.
Due to the long period during which such weights were used and the lack of differential diagnostic features during that period a broad date has to be applied to this object.
The metal is a creamy white in colour.

A complete Russian lead bag seal of Post-medieval to modern date (AD 1700-1850). The seal is comprised of a single disc of metal which is perforated by a hole running across its diameter. The holes would have been for wire or textile ligatures which were used to secure a bag.
Stamped text can be seen on one side of the seal; one bears the image of a cornucopia or shell with some lettering or text which appears to read •[]OKU-TҔ. This text is likely to represent the name of the Quality Control Officer and possibly a code for the location at which the Officer worked or the registere…
