A fragment of a copper-alloy cruciform brooch in the Anglo-saxon tradition dating to the early Medieval (AD 410-720). The fragment consists of the lower bow section with zoomorphic decoration in the form of bulbous eye protrusions and spatulate extensions on either side of the bow. The fragment terminates at both ends in old breaks after the lower section of the bow and before the footplate. A corpus of Anglo-Saxon material from Suffolk, pg 309, no 2. The metal is a dark green in colour. The weight was no recorded during the initial recording of the object.

An early-medieval hammered penny of Cnut, struck at the Lincoln mint. On the obverse is a left facing bust holding a sceptre with a lis head. The legend reads: CNV-T REX. The reverse has a voided short cross with annulet ends and a pellet centre with the legend: LEOFPIN ON LIN. Cnut's short cross coinage was struck between c.1029 and c.1036, and this coin corresponds to North number 790.

Copper alloy mount. Cast openwork mount, probably with a zoomorphic design. The flat backed plate bears four integrally cast fixing pins on its back: each pin rose from a rectangular base of about 5mm square with a tapered shank of rectangular section up to 11mm long - one complete pin remains, albeit bent back. The pins are set either side of the back of the central motif, where the mount achieves its greatest height or width. The stout integral pins may suggest this object was attached to thick leather. Cast copper alloy Viking strap junction. The strap union is circular with three circular perforations evenly spaced leaving three arms radiating from the centre to the outer edge. It is slightly domed and the arms are hollow backed. Part of the outer edge has broken away at the edge of one of the perforations. Early Medieval (11th century) cast copper alloy strap distributor, comprised of a central triangular panel with concave edges, with each angle extending out into a devolved animal head terminal. There is a circular ring attached under the animal heads, forming three openwork sub-oval areas which would have been used to secure a hook or strap fitting. An early medieval Series D type 2c('continental runic') silver sceatta. This type developed out of early series C designs, from the late primary or intermediate phases,perhaps the latter, given that the silver appears rather debased. It was probably struck in the lower Rhine region. On this example, as on many Series D coins, the 'APA' inscription (to the right of the obverse bust, and probably referring to the coin's moneyer) is innaccurately rendered. Obv: Right-facing bust, with poorly rendered runic inscription 'APA'. Rev: Cross with pellet in each angle.

Copper alloy cast strap end from the late Anglo-Saxon period. It is almost triangular in plan and is not complete being broken at the top (widest) end. It is zoomorphic in design, probably a mouse, and dates to around the 9th century AD. The design is zoomorphic and a snout, eyes and ears can be seen. The snout is narrow at the bottom and widens up to the ears where it stops. The eyes are raised hollow circles, the ears are similar but sub-circular and larger. The ears may have been filled with something, possibly enamel for decoration.

Early medieval lead strap-end. The strap end is rendered in the Winchester style. Although this decoration is fairly crude in execution and eccentric in detail, it depicts a fairly standard inhabited plant-scroll design featuring a pair of confronted lizard-like creatures with rounded heads (and possibly tails) at the top, each perched on the branches of a central plant which sprouts from an unusual calyx or bulb at the bottom.
