Description: Post medieval gold finger ring, 19mm diameter and 4.5mm wide and weighing 1.96grams. The ring is decorated on the outer surface with a frieze showing a fox (?) being chased by a hound. This is flanked by scrolls and two horned devils. The circle is completed by a decorative sub rectangular motif. The internal surface of the ring is inscribed with IN TIME MAY I. Discussion: The inscription is not recorded by Joan Evans but the use of capital letters and the fine renaissance style decoration suggests a date in the 16th or early 17th century.

A complete gold possible finger ring, of probable Post Medieval to Modern dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900). The possible finger ring is rectangular in section and would have originally been circular in plan. It is now sub oval in plan. The hoop has been decorated with eight circular pits (now full of soil), that may have originally held something. Each pit has a diameter of 1.5 mm. Multiple vertical filemarks are present on the interior surface of the ring. The original diameter of the ring can not be determined due to it being misshapen. It now measures 21.42 mm in length, 17.43 mm

A gold finger ring with no decoration or hallmarks. The band is slightly D-shaped in cross-section and has suffered some damage. It is unclear what date this ring is, however a post-medieval to modern date might be appropriate. The lack of hall marks may suggest it is foreign. The finger ring is undiagnostic in terms of date and therefore cannot be classified as treasure under the 1996 Treasure Act.

This artefact has been looked at by National Finds Advisor Helen Geake & Judy Rudoe, Curator of the Modern Collections at the Department of Prehistory & Europe, British Museum but it has not been possible to determine what this fragment was a part of. This fragment is made of sheet white metal which has been curved to form a cylinder, the ends of which now overlap.
