The axehead tapers slightly before widening to a flared crescentic blade. The axehead has a mid orange patina with brown mottles. Cast copper alloy pin from a D-shaped buckle, possibly dating from the Anglo-Saxon period, c.AD 575-625. The pin has broken off from the base plate above the loop that would have wound around the pin bar. The broken end is circular in section and 8 mm in diameter and the pointed end has been chiselled from both sides into a rectangular edge that is 5 mm in length and 3 mm in width. Early medieval gilded copper alloy mount decorated in Anglo-Saxon Style II, dating from the late sixth or seventh century. The upper surface is gilded and decorated with triple strand interlace terminating in a a snake's head. The decoration is similar to that seen on a gilt-bronze belt mount from North Elmsall, Yorkshire, (Speake, 1980, Pl. 8 j). The lower surface has no gilding and has two small rectangular projections for attachment, apparently unbroken. The mount is 20mm long, 10mm wide tapering to 8mm, 6mm thick and weighs 1.47g.

Post Medieval copper alloy, asymmetric, buckle frame, dating from AD1550-1700. The frame is sub-rectangular, with one square loop and the other semi-circular, separated by an integral bar. The underside of the frame is flat and the inner and outer edges of the upper side are bevelled On the bar are the remains of what appears to have been an iron pin, now missing. A tertiary flint scraper. This flint has a subtriangular cross-section with a longitudinal mid ridge along one surface. The opposite side has evidence of a shallow bulb or percussion and very shallow S-shaped profile indicative of soft hammer working. All surfaces are heavily recorticated except for the areas of retouch suggesting that these are evidence of more recent reworking.
