An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked tag, dating from the Post-Medieval period 1500 to 1600 AD. The hook is cast in one with the plate and projects from the base. The loop is positioned at the top of the plate and would have been rectangular in shape. The plate is sub rectangular. The upper section of the plate is decorated with 7 depressions. Cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch from the 6th century AD. The side and top knobs are semi-circular and hollow and have been cast integrally to the brooch. The headplate is square with a slightly raised sub-rectangular central panel which runs from the top knob to where the head meets the bow. This panel widens towards the bow. The bow is concave and has a central vertical grooved line as decoration. Cast copper alloy buckle with a sheet metal plate, D-shaped buckle with moulded decoration, offset narrowed bar and a central notch for the pin, long trapezoid buckle plate secured by three rivets, incised line around the edge, traces of gilding all over. The lower plate is significantly smaller that the front. In London a buckle of this form was found in a context dated to 1270-1350 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 76, Fig. 46 No. 314)

An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy pin, probably a hair pin (c. AD 150-c. 250). The head (terminal) is circular in cross-section and the top is low conical in form. The sides of the head taper from the top to the base where there is a minor collar. The head is divided by a circumferential groove about two thirds of the way down from the top. An incomplete and undecorated Bronze Age copper-alloy Picardy pin (1400 BC-1250 BC). This object is circular in cross-section throughout its length with a cell/recess at the top and a swollen shaft. At the top, the sides of the cell are vertical. From here the sides taper inwards and then flare outwards before gently tapering inwards towards a transverse break at the bottom. Close to the break a tiny projection may be the reamains of a loop. The depth of the cell is 3.1mm. There is no indication of any decorative material within the cell. Pierced coin, probably a sestertius, beyond recognition, some traces of the bust can be seen above which is an elongated hole 5.5 x 3.2mm. The date at which the coin was pieced is open to question. Animal head terminal above which is a panel of decoration consisting of a central motif, the details of which are lost, surrounded by a ladder like chain of squares with central dots, The upper end of the strap end bears a palm motif and two rivet holes. One leaf of the bifurcation is missing. While it would be expected that this design would be inlaid no mention of this was made on the original record.
