Post medieval to modern cast copper alloy finger ring, possibly incorporating an earlier medieval setting. The stones or glass from the cartouche setting are absent now, but originally there would have been three small ones. The cartouche has been attached to the ring loop & is made from a copper alloy with a different quantity of tin in it. Length 23mm, width 18mm. Dates between c1650 and c1900 AD.

The upper part is a straight horizontal bordered cable, the middle is an inerted stylised club & the lower part is a horizontal crescent or cup with circular finials.Possibly dating between c1300 and c1600 AD, but it may be a moddern reproduction as it looks more brassy than bronze normally does. A cast copper alloy shield shaped enamelled heraldic mount of probable 14th century AD date. In profile it is broadly D shaped. It is shield shaped in plan and rectangular in cross-section. This central area is also slight domed. The outer border is flat. Three small circular rivet holes can be seen at each corner of the object all complete. A complete cast copper alloy Roman wax spatula handle, probably of 2nd to early 3rd century date. The handle depicts the bust of the goddess Minerva, wearing a high crested Corinthian helmet. At the front of the helmet, on either side of the frontal ridge is an incised lentoid shape with a central perforation. The goddesses' short, wavy hair can be seen around the base of the helmet. Copper alloy medieval zoomorphic padlock mechanism. These mechanisms usually date between 1200 - 1500AD. This is a very fine example and is probably quite early around 1200AD. The padlock (commonly termed barrel lock because of the common cylindrical shape) is shaped like a ram. The animal has four legs and the back right leg is slightly broken. A post-medieval 16th or early 17th century AD copper alloy belt suspension loop (cf Read 790). The suspension loop is probably a sword hanger. The suspension loop is intact, projecting from the top edge at right angles to the plane of the plate, and the artefact is apparently in fair condition. The bare metal of the suspension loop has a dark green patina which also shows on the reverse side. The sides curve and then converge at the base terminating in a basal lobed or globular knop. The top of the chape has a central lobe, which appears to be broken, flanked by concave curves with pointed projections at either side, one missing. Early Medieval perhaps Anglo-Scandinavian virtually complete very well preserved bronze cauldron or skillet with riveted collar and a fragment of the iron handle perhaps dating to the 9th centuryAD. The cauldron is made from bronze sheet metal one piece with steep sides and a concave base and one of the riveted collars survives intact. One of three interlocking cauldrons perhaps associated with a known settlement perhaps from a grave. The diameter is 290mm in height 170mm.

Cast copper unidentified object, possibly a Roman mirror handle dating from c. AD43-410. It is in very good condition without any corrisive products present on the surface. It is straight, with a circular cross-section and one forked end. There are very small rivet holes in the two sides of the fork, probably for attaching it to the actual mirror plate which would have also been made from copper-alloy, but highly polished. The handle is decorated with a simple egg-and-reel motif/mouldings.
