Part of a copper-alloy finger-ring of early to middle Early-Medieval date. The ring has a circular bezel which is nearly flat. It is decorated with four pairs of curved incised grooves, one by each shoulder and one to top and bottom. These form a central lozenge, in which is an incised cross, with an annulet in each angle. The whole is in a incised circular border. The hoop is narrow and the outer face is bevelled. Only a short part of it survives, projecting from one shoulder. Cast copper alloy Early Medieval pin, dating to the 10-11th centuries. It is complete with the pin shaft being circular in cross-section and ends in a point. The other end hasa flat, almost lozenge shaped terminal with a flattened end and small extensions on each side. There is a central circular hole. A copper alloy mount dating from the Early Medieval period. The mount is a disc with a raised rim and is decorated with five "watch spring" bosses. These are spaced evenly round a central setting which is now empty. Each boss is a pointed dome in deep relief, decorated with three spiral grooves. A fragment of an Early Medieval mount from the apex disc on an Anglo-Saxon shield boss, dating from the 6th century. The fragment is a flat piece of copper alloy with one edge which looks to be almost complete and which is curved. The other edges are breaks and are patinated. A lead pad or trial piece from a die stamp of early Anglo-Saxon (7th century) date. The object is flat and sub-rectangular with rounded corners, and has a worn break to one end. A shallow impression has been made on one side, almost certainly by a die stamp for making impressed foil mounts. The decoration is in Salin's Style II, framed within a tapering sub-rectangular border and with rounded lobes at the surviving end.
