A complete Late Anglo-Saxon (Early Medieval) to early Post Medieval iron single bladed axehead, dating to c AD 850 - 1650. The surface is moderately corroded. It has an almost symmetrical form, but with a slightly extended beard on the lower part of the curved cutting edge. Something of the bevel on the cutting edge remains. The blade narrows towards the axe head (point of contact with handle, now missing) flaring out again to create two sub triangular extensions (axe lips or lugs) above and below, on both sides, of the axe eye (opening for handle). A complete copper-alloy probable sword pommel probably dating to the medieval period. The object has a mainly mottled green patina but with smooth brown patches on the raised areas of one side. It is in the shape of a zoomorphic beast. The beast has raised ridges at its 'shoulders' and 'pelvis' with curving indentations between these. There is a sub-rectangular recess which pierces the centre of the top of the pommel and widens to a larger sub-rectangle on the flat bottom of the pommel. A decorative copper alloy plate from a buckle the form of the frame, the short rear part of the plate and the shape of the apertures seem to point to a med date 12th - 13th century AD. A Medieval iron dagger possibly dating to the 15th - 16th century. The blade is double-edged with a lozenge-shaped cross-section. The tang tapers slightly (from 15mm to 7mm) towards the end and has a rectangular cross-section. The end of the tang has been hammered flat against the handle that is no longer present. A damaged cast copper alloy horse harness pendant, dating between c1300 and c1400 AD.. The pendant is sub-circular in plan with an integrally cast suspension loop set perpendicular to the pendant. The centre of the upper edge has an integral lug with a perforation, which is perpendicular to the pendant. The outer surface of the pendant is slightly convex and the reverse concave. Similar to NMS-262F26, BERK-0A6C67, NMS-7849D0 and WAW-E8D2A5. It has been decorated but the detail is now hard to distinguish. The length is 52mm, and the width 39mm.

Unusual probably 14th century copper alloy buckle plate. It is decorated with massed punch marks delineating a man wearing a Phrygian cap which is similar to Roman decoration but there are no Roman parallels for this object. Again there are no clear parallels in the medieval for either the method of decoration, with the massed punch marks or the decoration on the corners. But on balance it is probably Medieval 14th century when, after all, they had their contacts with the east. The reddish discolouration suggests it may have been gilded. The length is 45mm, and the width is 22mm.

An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked tag, dating from the Post-Medieval period 1500 to 1600 AD. The hook is cast in one with the plate and projects from the base. The loop is positioned at the top of the plate and would have been rectangular in shape. The plate is sub rectangular. The upper section of the plate is decorated with 7 depressions. A copper alloy 'heavy duty' beehive type thimble, dating from 1400 to 1550AD. The thimble is domed with slightly flared sides and a rounded top. Probably drilled although it could be cast, it is often difficult to distinguish between cast and hammered thimbles. A series of closely and unevenly set circular dents cover the sides, leaving a plain circular area around the crown.. It is D-shaped in plan with a narrowed strap bar which would have been attached to the offset bar on the buckle frame and the buckle is missing its pin. This particular buckle frame is very small with the length 15mm, width 12mm, and the weight is 1g. The buckle has a parallel with YORYM-608266 but is not decorated. A closer parallel would be SUSS-0D7CC6.

A cast copper alloy buckle plate of medieval date. The folded copper-alloy buckle plate has been notched to take the pin and at the edges to fit the buckle frame. It is pierced twice for the fixing to the strap rivets, one of these rivets remains in place the other is missing. The back plate is missing broken off at the fold in the area of the buckle. Dr Kevin Leahy suggests that the design of incised lines may be in the form of a bird.

The leg has a central raised ridge with a pointed D-shaped section and widens slightly towards one end. The breaks are worn and pitted. While it is not possible to allocate this fragment to a specific a mid 13th to 16th century date is generally accepted for cooking vessels. A lead cloth seal of probable medieval to post-medieval date. The seal comprises two discs of lead joined together by a folded strip of lead. One disc is larger than the other and both surfaces are flat. The seal is undecorated on both sides. The larger disc has a large rivet that passes through the smaller disc and is then flattened to hold the two halves together. Due to the lack of any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely. The metal is a dark greyish-white colour and is worn. The seal is 26.3mm long, 21.3mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 6.4g.

A cast copper alloy dagger chape made from one thin sheet of metal folded over and joined together. The chape is undecorated, probably originally oval in shape now flattened and dates from the 14th to 15th centuries. It is 42mm in length, 20mm in depth and 5mm thick.

A cast copper-alloy scabbard chape of late 15th to 16th century. The chape is cast in one piece and is broadly shield shaped in plan. The sides curve and then converge at the base terminating in a basal lobed or globular knop. The top of the chape has a central lobe, which appears to be broken, flanked by concave curves with pointed projections at either side, one missing. A slightly raised rib runs down the centre of the front of the chape. Copper alloy medieval zoomorphic padlock mechanism. These mechanisms usually date between 1200 - 1500AD. This is a very fine example and is probably quite early around 1200AD. The padlock (commonly termed barrel lock because of the common cylindrical shape) is shaped like a ram. The animal has four legs and the back right leg is slightly broken. The head is elongated with two small curving rams one of them broken in half and has a decorated face with eyes and a nose. The body of the animal is undecorated.
