A copper-alloy Medieval annular brooch dating to the period c.AD 1200-1300. The brooch is broadly ovate in plan, with a rectangular cross-section. A zoomorphic head projects from the middle point of each long edge, and curves around to point inwards. It is likely that these represent snakes. The reverse is undecorated, although has a constriction at each apex to acommodate the pin, which is now missing. A green-brown patina is on the surface, as well as traces of gilding. A large flint core of early Mesolithic or early Neolithic date. The core is cylindrical with one platform and parallel striking of narrow blades. One face of the object has narrower scars from blade removal while on the opposite face wider blades have been removed down the length of the core with shorter narrower blades removed from above (towards the striking platform) at a diagonal angle to the lower removals. An incomplete lead alloy plumbob dating to the Medieval period. The weight is oval in plan and cross-section with a central decorated panel on each face. The decorated panel on each face sits within an oval depression with the decoration on one face consisting of a zig-zag ridge running the length of the panel with three pellets between each turn of the ridge. A copper alloy and iron Viking strap fitting of Early Medieval date. The object is sub-triangular in plan, expanding at either end and waisted in the centre. The wider expanded end is square in cross-section and has an iron core from which projects the remains of a possible circular rivet for attachment. From the solid square end the object narrows and thins towards the opposite end which is split. Copper alloy die stamp. Cast rectangular plate with rounded edges and with deeply incised detail on one flat side. A doubled groove forms the frame for angular interlaced figures of Salin Style 1. The central components of the motif bear transverse grooves suggesting a vermiform or possibly billeted texture, while some straight members ancillary to these and outside them, but confined within the frame, have a feathered surface texture. Incomplete cast tin replica of a devotional cruciform pendant, missing its fourth arm which was attached to a suspension loop. Each of the three surviving arms have a spherical knop at the terminus that is 5 mm in diameter. The flat disc or roundel that forms the centre of the cross is 11 mm in diameter and is very pitted but appears to have two incised letters on each face within a circular border that is 1 mm in from the edge. Copper alloy harness mount fragment. A cast semi-circular plate with the stubs of a probably rectangular loop projecting from its curving edge. The opposite edge is broken across a central member flanked by voids in an apparently openwork scheme; one strut remains to one side and its counterpart may be inferred on the other side. The curved edge of the plate bears an incised border to an interlaced anthropomorphic scheme which resembles the eyes and brows of a human mask. Cast rectangular plate with a U-shaped tab projecting from either long edge and with a circular loop at one end, in all cases with drilled apertures of diameter 2.4mm. An incomplete stone perforated object, dating to from the Mesolithic to the Bronze Age (c.9,000-1,600 BC). The stone is broadly square in plan, but tapers slightly to a terminal with a worn break. A circular concave area is present on each side just before the break, resulting in the oval cross section narrowing at the centre. This suggests that the stone has been partially perforated. One indent has a dark brown patina on some areas. The other terminal is oval in cross section and also terminates in a worn break.
