An incomplete copper-alloy artefact of Early-Medieval date but uncertain function. This is most probably an incomplete mount, possibly related to stirrups or some other harness fitting. It weighs 8.24g and has a maximum width of 24.6mm. The length is currently 38.8mm, however a break is present at both ends (very worn at the wider end of the artefact and moderately worn at the tapering end). An iron axehead of Early-Medieval date. These early Anglo-Saxon 'Francisca', Frankish throwing axes date from the 5th to the 8th century AD. The example recorded in this PAS record is a type from early in the chronology of Francisca. The remains of this socketed tool-head weigh c.0.6kg (600.00g). It has a length of c.146.0mm, maximum width of c.37.0mm and maximum height of c.85.0mm. An iron axehead of uncertain date. The remains of this socketed tool-head weigh c.1.1kg (1100.00g). It has a length of c.160.0mm, maximum width of c.55.0mm and maximum height of c.61.0mm. The butt-end of the tool-head has an irregular oval shape through which is a sub-rectangular socket. This socket has a length of 39.0mm and width of 20.9mm. The width of the artefact then starts to taper forming what now appears to be a triangular cross-sectioned bladed end. A late Medieval to middle Post-Medieval copper-alloy sword pommel. The open end has a flat blunt edge allowing the artefact to be placed standing unsupported on a flat surface. It has a variable thickness ranging from 0.9mm to 3.5mm at this open end. The artefact is an elliptical-cylindrical, measuring 22.5mm x 16.4mm at the open end, with a closed domed apex. At the centre of the domed end is a sub-rectangular aperture measuring 5.4mm x 2.2mm at the narrower end and 2.5mm at the wider end. A retouched tertiary gun flint dating from the 17th century AD through to the present. This piece of flint has a sub-rectangular shape and sub-trapezoidal cross-section. The largest surface, or back of the flint, has a slight concave curve This gun flint was it was found within a few miles of a known Napolionic prisoner of war camp dating from AD 1797. Weight is 10.66g, length is 32.7mm, width is 27.5mm and thickness is 7.8mm.

A recorticated tertiary flint core. This core has a sub-trapezoidal to sub-triangular cross-section and sub oval shape with a single flaking direction. It was used in the production of broad blades suggesting an Early Mesolithic or Early Neolithic date. Possible presence of core dressing. Probably a Clark (1960) Type A2. A tertiary flint scraper. This flint has a subtriangular cross-section with a longitudinal mid ridge along one surface. The opposite side has evidence of a shallow bulb or percussion and very shallow S-shaped profile indicative of soft hammer working. All surfaces are heavily recorticated except for the areas of retouch suggesting that these are evidence of more recent reworking. An arrowhead, formed from tertiary flint, that is either barbed and tanged with the barbs having broken off or was originally a leaf shaped arrowhead that has been reworked to have a tang at the middle of the lower edge. The arrowhead is bifacially worked with covering low angle parallel retouch on the ventral side. The other side has long to invasive low angle scaled retouch. A primary flint, very late and very crudely made, scraper. A large inclusion occupies approximately half of the inner surface of the flint, which seems to have two hinge fractures along two edges. The most obvious of these has an abrupt near vertical angle although this may account for later damage. The other possible hinge fracture, if it is such, is much more subtle running along the edge of the flint.
