An arrowhead, formed from tertiary flint, that is either barbed and tanged with the barbs having broken off or was originally a leaf shaped arrowhead that has been reworked to have a tang at the middle of the lower edge. The arrowhead is bifacially worked with covering low angle parallel retouch on the ventral side. The other side has long to invasive low angle scaled retouch. The arefact has recorticated although this has been removed at the base of the arrowhead around the tang. It is uncertain whether this is a result of reworking or later depositional damage. A primary flint, very late and very crudely made, scraper. A large inclusion occupies approximately half of the inner surface of the flint, which seems to have two hinge fractures along two edges. The most obvious of these has an abrupt near vertical angle although this may account for later damage. The other possible hinge fracture, if it is such, is much more subtle running along the edge of the flint. A tertiary flint, late, scraper. This piece of flint is a pale orangey-brown suggesting that it had been subjected to iron staining and a pale grey shows through on the areas of retouch. The retouch is short, scaled and abrupt. A fragment of fossil or shell impression is present on one side of this object. Weight is 10.43g, length is 44.3mm, width is 34.0mm and thickness is 10.3mm. The catchplate extends into a central rib. Both ends and both sides of the brooch are broken, though there is a small length of the original edge surviving. The object is sub-triangular in plan with a lozenge shaped cross-section. The flint has a rounded point and two seperate barbs. There is no central tang and it does not appear that one has broken away. The object has short parallel long angled retouch along each edge and is flaked on each surface. One long edge measures 5mm thick, while the opposite long edge is just 2mm thick. The arrowhead is on a light grey flint with no remaining cortex.
