The implement is most likely a knife, although could be a small Neolithic hand-axe shaped implement known as an 'Ovate' dating to the Late Neolithic (3000-2350BC). However, the implement is not bifacially worked to the extent expected of an Ovate. The implement appears to have been knapped from a primary flake, from which secondary and tertiary flakes have been removed from the ventral surface.
