An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) single looped buckle frame (c. 450-600). The pin is missing. This oval frame is convex at the front and steeply bevelled at the rear. On the upper surface, adjacent to each end of the bar (now missing), are six transverse decorative grooves. There is an off-centre depression on the upper surface of the outer edge where the pin-tip has rested. Stubs of the bar have survived. Cast copper alloy enamelled harness pendant, lozenge-shaped in plan with the suspension loop at right angles to the face. The neck of the loop expands to a circular aperture, now broken open. The face of the pendant is decorated with a white enamelled unicorn jumping over a green enamelled hedge or bush below and above it. Possibly part of a late Bronze Age dish-shaped ingot dating 1150 to 800BC. The fragment is sub-cuboid in shape with a rough area on one surface which could be where the cast bronze was open to the air in the mold. The patina is a light green and constant with a Bronze Age date. Similar to KENT-605B16, SWYOR-9226F6, and in a hoard KENT-0F86A5 on the database. The length is 78mm, 60mm wide and 35mm in thickness and the weight was too heavy for the scales.

Probably some kind of broken off furniture fitting, but possibly part of a shoe buckle though it seems a bit on the large side. Probably 17th- 18th century in either case. It is cast copper alloy with an applied finish, possibly silvering or tinning that has largely worn off. The zoomorphic decoration appears to be two opposed crested birds' heads. The length is 44mm, 30mm wide and the weight is 13.58g.

The object is a pointed oval plate of metal, one side of which continues as if to form a circular frame, with the oval against the edge, but the frame only survives for a few millimetres. A post-medieval 16th or early 17th century AD copper alloy belt suspension loop (cf Read 790). The suspension loop is probably a sword hanger. The suspension loop is intact, projecting from the top edge at right angles to the plane of the plate, and the artefact is apparently in fair condition. The bare metal of the suspension loop has a dark green patina which also shows on the reverse side.
