An elaborate quatrefoil shaped cast copper alloy harness pendant, with inlaid enamelling. Ashley believes that these elaborate harness pendants were a later development of the earlier pendants. This example displays 'arms which are allusive for England and France' (Ashley, 2002, p23). He goes on to state that such pendants are likely to have been made after 1340 'when the fleur-de-lis of France were quartered with the lions of England'. A copper-alloy thimble, dating to the 15th - 16th century. The thimble is short with a rounded top. The indentations in the thimble are circular. The indentations on the sides have been arranged in parallel columns, whilst the indentations on the top are arranged in a spiral. This thimble has been cast as one piece. The thimble does not thicken around the base, but there is an incised ring around the base of the thimble. The metal is a dark jade-green colour. Parallels can be seen in Egan (2005), p132, fig: 126.

The cast copper-alloy foot of an early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch, circa 450-600 in date, the rest of the brooch is missing due to old breaks. The lower edge of the half-round panel survives with transverse moulding across it at the break. The horse head terminal is complete, it has a central longitudinal ridge and circular projecting knobs representing the eyes. A small rotary key, cast in copper alloy. The bow is lozenge shaped and fairly small. There is a collar next to the bow. The stem appears to be solid, but has a hollowed tip. The stem has a flattened circular section. The bit is simple, consisting of a square plate of copper alloy. A cleft has been cut on one side of the bit. The surface is a mid greyish-green colour and is pitted. The key is medieval in date. Parallels can be seen in Egan, p112-3, Fig: 86.

A small rotary key, cast in copper alloy. The bow is circular and fairly small. There is no collar next to the bow. The stem is solid, with a flattened circular section, there is no projecting tip, as the end of the stem in hollow. The bit is simple, consisting of a square plate of copper alloy. A small cleft has been formed on either side of the bit, therefore forming four wards. The surface is a mid brownish-green colour and is pitted. The key is medieval in date. The surface has been filed. Parallels can be seen in Egan, p112-3, Fig: 86.

An Anglo-Saxon strap end, Thomas class B, type 1. The strap end is made of one piece of cast copper-alloy. This strap end dates to the 8th - 11th century. The strap end has a fan-shaped attachment end, which has three rivet holes arranged in a triangle with a decorative ring and dot in the centre. Below the attachment end the strap end then gets much thinner, with a rectangular section and terminates with what should be a zoomorphic head. The head is highly stylised. The reverse of the strap end is flat and undecorated. The metal is mid reddish-brown in colour.

An Anglo-Saxon or Anglian strap end (Thomas classification Class A, Type 1). The strap end has been made from one tapering oval plate of copper alloy with a flattened end at the attachment end of the fitting. Two rivet holes would have been located at this end of the strap end, but the attachment end has been badly damaged. The other terminal of the strap end has a much stylised zoomorphic head. A complete cast copper-alloy strap end, dating to the 15th Century.
The strap end is formed from two plates. The front plate is much larger than the back plate and the two are joined together via four rivets (two iron and two copper alloy). The strap end in roughly rectangular in shape with two leaf-shaped extensions, projecting from one of the shorter sides of the rectangular. A complete cast copper-alloy strap end. The strap end is formed from a folded sheet of copper alloy, it is triangular in shape. The back plate is slightly smaller than the front. There is an incised triangular border around the edge of the front plate. The apex of the triangle is a stylised animal head. There is a single iron rivet in the centre of the plates, holding the two together. The overall size is 27.3mm x 16.7mm x 3.9mm and the sheet is 1.2mm thick. This strap end dates to the 11th - 12th Century.

A complete cast lead possible Viking gaming piece.
The gaming piece is formed from a cylindrical block of lead, with a round base. The base and sides are undecorated. The top of the gaming piece has been decorated with a series of incised ring and dot designs and some iron decoration. The incised marks have all been enclosed within a rectangular recess.
An alternative function of these objects would have been as weights rather than gaming pieces.

A cast lead weight. The weight is triangular in shape and slightly thicker at the top (5.3mm), than at the base (4.7mm). The overall size is 36.4mm x 18.4mm. The weight has been decorated with a triangular of incised dashes, which act as a border around the edge of the weight.
It is possibly medieval in date, although this is not definite.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy key dating to the medieval period. The key comprises a hollow, circular-sectioned stem, which widens towards the bit. The tip measures 10mm in diameter. The stem of the key is decorated with incised parallel bands, in groups of three. Much of the surface of the stem is missing, due to heavy corrosion and pitting.
The bow is completely missing, due to the break. But the bit survives intact. There is a channel below the stem and the bit is only joins to it via a very narrow and short section of the bit. The bit is rectangular in shape and has four wards …

A cast copper alloy candle snuffer.
The object has been formed from a conical piece of copper alloy, terminating at the apex with a collar and knop. An incised band decorates the middle, whilst two collars decorate the base. There is a handle projecting from one side (near to the base). The object is hollow cast and the interior has engine milling for 8mm.
This candle snuffer is likely to date from the 18th – 19th Century.

A complete 16th century copper-gilt dress fitting, with a large rectangular loop on the reverse. The fitting has three bosses, mounted on a triangular backplate. The backplate has a cusped outline (now heavily worn). The hemispherical bosses have been soldered onto the front and have been decorated with applied filigree circles and pellets.
