A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with an integral forked spacer. The frame is lipped and has a D-shaped section. The buckle is 32.1mm long, 24.9mm wide, 3.5mm thick and weighs 4.2g. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead, p.37, no.216 in which such buckles are dated to c.1350-1450.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel of medieval to post-medieval date. The fragment is the foot part of the leg from a cooking vessel such as a skillet. The fragment is trapezoidal in section with one broken and worn end and one pointed end. While it is not possible to allocate this fragment to a specific date a mid 13th to 16th century date is generally accepted for such cooking vessels. The vessel foot is 37.2mm long, 23.8mm wide, 7.2mm thick and weighs 19.5g.

A complete cast copper alloy button and loop fastener of Roman date. The fastener has a trapezoidal loop cast integrally to a hemispherical hollow boss. The loop and boss are on seperate plains and are joined by an integrally cast shank. Button and loop fasteners of this type date to the 2nd century AD. The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is very worn. The button and loop fastener is 38.7mm long, 16.6mm wide and weighs 10.2g.

A lead cloth seal of probable medieval to post-medieval date. The seal comprises two discs of lead joined together by a folded strip of lead. One disc is larger than the other and both surfaces are flat. The seal is undecorated on both sides. The larger disc has a large rivet that passes through the smaller disc and is then flattened to hold the two halves together. Due to the lack of any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely. The metal is a dark greyish-white colour and is worn. The seal is 26.3mm long, 21.3mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 6.4g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle plate of medieval date. The plate is rectangular in both plan and section with two worn and broken tabs to act as hinges around the strap bar of the buckle. The resulting rectangular recess would have allowed the pin to swivel freely around the bar. Both sides of the buckle plate are undecorated. Three rivet holes are present along the attachment end of the plate but only two rivets remain. The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The plate is 22.6mm long, 17.6mm wide, 3.7mm thick and weighs 4.2g.

A lithic thumb scraper of Neolithic date designed to be held between your thumb and forefinger. The object is oval in shape with a D-shaped section. The edges appear to show signs of being worked. The dorsal surface is flat and the worked edge is quite steep. The striking platform and bulb of percussion no longer seem to remain however evidence of ripples of percussion can still be seen. An incomplete cast copper alloy probable harness pendant of medieval date. The pendant is lozenge shaped with a worn break to one corner from which the attachment loop presumably once extended. The decoration on the front face of the pendant is unclear but may be an eagle of griffin with sprayed wings and bared lower claws. An area of corrosion obscures some of the decoration.
