A copper-alloy Medieval annular brooch dating to the period c.AD 1200-1300. The brooch is broadly ovate in plan, with a rectangular cross-section. A zoomorphic head projects from the middle point of each long edge, and curves around to point inwards. It is likely that these represent snakes. The brooch measures 32.28mm in length, 23.07mm in width, 4.01mm in thickness and weighs 5.77g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Trumpet brooch dating from 75-175 AD. Behind the head there is a circular loop which would have held the spring / pin mechanism in place. The upper bow is oval in section and has two collars around it at the junction where it meets the bow decoration. A cast copper alloy Roman brooch, which has been difficult to pin down to a specific type as a parallel could not be found within the normal literature.
The brooch has a rectangular head, with a rectangular recess behind it. The edges of which are semi-circular and pierced, through this an axis bar has been slotted and this holds the spring in place. The spring has four turns but the pin has broken off. Above the head the broken remains of a loop can be seen.
The upper bow is formed from a flat plate of copper alloy, it is bent a third of the way down (rather like a knee brooch) and…
