A copper alloy and iron Viking strap fitting of Early Medieval date. The object is sub-triangular in plan, expanding at either end and waisted in the centre. The wider expanded end is square in cross-section and has an iron core from which projects the remains of a possible circular rivet for attachment. From the solid square end the object narrows and thins towards the opposite end which is split. A large flint core of early Mesolithic or early Neolithic date. The core is cylindrical with one platform and parallel striking of narrow blades. One face of the object has narrower scars from blade removal while on the opposite face wider blades have been removed down the length of the core with shorter narrower blades removed from above (towards the striking platform) at a diagonal angle to the lower removals. A flint coarse retouched flake probably dating to the later Bronze Age. The object is triangular in cross-section with the remains of cortex on one side of the dorsal face. At the proximal end is a large triangular striking platform while a small (possibly accidental) triangular platform is at the distal end. The object is sub-triangular in plan with a lozenge shaped cross-section. The flint has a rounded point and two seperate barbs. There is no central tang and it does not appear that one has broken away. The object has short parallel long angled retouch along each edge and is flaked on each surface. One long edge measures 5mm thick, while the opposite long edge is just 2mm thick. The arrowhead is on a light grey flint with no remaining cortex. Dimensions: 53mm in lenght, 25mm in width (at base), 3.5mm in width (at tip), 5.5mm thick, 5.4g.

A flaked flint dagger of early Bronze Age date, 2,500-1,500BC. The object is a pointed oval in plan and lozenge shaped in cross-section. The flint is flaked on each face with covering retouch. Along each long edge and around the point is short, parallel low-angle retouch. The implement has been made on a grey-brown to dark grey flint. Dimensions: 141mm in lenght, 47mm in width (at centre), 6mm thick (at centre), 10mm in width (at the point), 14mm in width (at the butt end). An almost complete copper alloy brooch of Early Medieval date, late 8th-9th century. The brooch is circular in plan and flat with zoomorphic and openwork decoration. The brooch is decorated with a central 'kite-shaped' cross, the terminals of which are rounded, expanding out over the edge of the circumference of the plate. Each rounded terminal contains a circular groove within which is an undecorated area containing a circular rivet hole. The decorated panel on each face sits within an oval depression with the decoration consisting of a series of pellets and diagonal ridged lines. An incomplete cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch from the late 5th century AD. The foot is D-shaped in cross-section before flattening out. The foot has a zoomorphic terminal with two eyes picked out by raised dots. The object has expanded circular nostrils above the spatulate extension. Above the zoomorphic terminal the foot is decorated with three transverse mouldings. A small amount of the base of the catchplate remains on the reverse. A cast copper alloy Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper alloy buckle frame, probably dating from the 6th century. The frame is rectangular, with a single loop, thick edges and a recessed narrowed bar. The pin is missing. The underside of the buckle is flat and plain but the upper face is decorated with a curved recess either side of the notch for the pin. The recess contains seven raised triangles on each side. Cast copper alloy Early Medieval kite headed pin. It has a lozenge shaped head with a circular perforation at the top. The shaft of the pin has a circular section and has broken before the end. Dr Kevin Leahy says 'These are of 10 - 11th century date and seem to be of ultimately Irish origin, although they are found in England due to the Vikings. This pin is slightly unusual as it has a hole though the head.'
