Cast copper alloy dagger pommel dating to the Medieval period. The object is semi-circular in plan and domed. The object is hollow. At the top of the object is a sub-square opening and at the base a wide oval opening. The openings would have allowed the tang of the dagger to pass through the pommel. The opening at the top of the object is 6.67mm wide and 6.06mm in length. At the base of the object the opening measures 23.10mm in width and 6.81mm in length. At each end of the base of the object is a circular depression for attachment. The object has a brownish green patina. …

Cast lead incomplete object of uncertain function and of possible medieval date. It is sub-circular in plan and oval in section. The outer edge is raised and rounded on the upper surface while the reverse is flat. The upper surface is decorated with a flower-like design consisting of two raised petals and a raised central circle. Two more petals probably decorated the opposite half which is missing. A raised border encloses the flower. There is a small circular indentation on the reverse of the object. This is an interesting object however it's function is unknown.

Cast copper alloy Post Medieval belt fitting or hook. It is drop shaped in plan with a narrow strip protruding from the rounded end which curves round to form a hook. It has broken before the end. At the narrowed end the fitting is bulbous. In the centre of the fitting is the remains of a circular rivet.

Cast copper alloy Early Medieval harness fitting. It is in three pieces but when complete is a cross-shape. Two of the arms have broken off, the ends remain but some of the middle section is missing. The estimated measurement when complete is 42mm. The main piece measures 29.29mm by 29.03mm in its present state. In the centre of the cross is a raised hollow dome which is 5.99mm high. Each arm ends in a trilobe shape, the central lobe having a rivet in the middle.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy undecorated socketed axehead of Late Bronze Age date. The piece represents the lower part of the axehead. It is rectangular in section with a hollow rectangular socket. Viewed in plan, the sides flare outwards slightly to the cutting edge which is modestly curved. The axe terminates in old breaks mid-way above the blade end. The cutting edge is 2.92mm thick and is quite damaged. It is 57.24mm in length, 35.78mm wide and weighs 57.8g. At the socketed end the axe is 4.71mm thick. It has a dark grey/black patina.

Cast bronze strap-distributor dating to the Early-Medieval period. It consists of a ring 25.03mm in diameter, with a three-spoked construction and a central circular setting containing a domed green glass setting 6.48mm in diameter. Each of the spokes terminates in a moulded animal head with pronounced hollowed-out ears and a moulded snout. Attached to the ring are two zoomorphic clasps. The top of the object is rounded and it widens towards its open base. A broken circular loop is integrally cast at the top of the object. A moulded ridge runs around the outer base of the bell. There is no other visible decoration. The object is quite damaged, a fragment of the base rim is missing and a large crack runs along a portion of the moulded ridge. A single looped cast copper alloy buckle, dating from the late early-medieval to medieval period (10th to 12th century). The strap bar is very narrow, whilst the D-shaped frame is wide with a circular section. There is a notch for the pin, but the pin is missing. The frame is very thick, 8.85mm. An integral moulded decoration projects from either side of the buckle frame. The detail is unclear however it is possibly stylised representation of an animal head.
