Cast copper alloy Early Medieval kite headed pin. It has a lozenge shaped head with a circular perforation at the top. The shaft of the pin has a circular section and has broken before the end.
Dr Kevin Leahy says 'These are of 10 - 11th century date and seem to be of ultimately Irish origin, although they are found in England due to the Vikings. This pin is slightly unusual as it has a hole though the head.'
