An Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) to Medieval cast copper-alloy buckle fragment (c. 1000-c. 1300). The fragment is flat and roughly semi-circular in plan. The straight side is intact and there has been some loss of material due to breaks or corrosion around the curved side. At each end of the straight side there is a small pointed projection with an abraded break at the end. The front of the object is decorated with a curvilinear design. The rear face is flat. A complete glass bead, circular in plan and sub-oval in cross-section. Coloured light green when held to the light, translucent with sub-circular opaque buff (tinged with green) 'spots'. It is possible that the bead may date to the Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period. However, this is uncertain. Maximum diameter:19.1mm; thickness: 10.7mm. Weight: 5.43g.

An incomplete cast in one piece copper alloy cruciform brooch of Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. Aberg Group 1 (c. 450-c. 500). Parts of the pin-lug, the foot and the catch-plate are missing due to old breaks. The head-plate is sub-square in plan (10.0 x 14.6mm). An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Medieval date (1200-1300). In plan, the brooch has a triangular open frame. It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Two arms form the sides and the third arm is the bar. All three arms are ‘D’-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. Each arm is roughly the same length and at each corner there is a small boss, possibly zoomorphic. However, due to corrosion and possibly wear, this is uncertain. A fragment of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) brooch. Length: 15.9mm; width: 15.1mm; weight: 3.09g. This fragment comprises the semi-circular head and part of the bow. The head is broken around the edges, flat at the front and flat at the rear. The bow is strongly arched as viewed form the side. At the top the bow is 12.1mm in width and at the transverse break the width is 9.9mm. At the front of the bow there are at least two vertical raised ribs. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting of Medieval date (c. AD 1100 – c. AD 1200). Length: 21.1mm; width: 15.8mm and 11.9mm thick. Weight: 4.09g. The fitting is probably a strap slide, the front being in the form of a forward facing male human mask which is convex at the front and concave at the rear. The rear part of the slide is incomplete due to old breaks. The upper part of the slide extends rearwards from the top of the head and the lower part extends rearwards from just above the bottom of the chin, forming a small flange.
