A fragment of a handmade pottery vessel of Late Iron Age to Roman date. The sherd is coarse and appeards to be from the angle between the side and base of the vessel. There are numerous inclusions within the fabric including large angular fragents of quartz, sparce and some chalk/limestone. The sherd is 49.2mm long, 35.9mm wide, 16.1mm thick and weighs 20.8g.

A sherd from the handle of a medieval (12th - 13th Century) jug. One area is glazed with a light green with black specks. Fabric - angular quartz 10%, >2mm, black opaque material, angular, harder than steel, matt. >2mm 10%.
